You’re going to want a shower after five minutes of sun today.
Near-triple-digit heat will envelope the city over the next few days. A heat advisory is already in effect for all of Greater Houston Thursday and Friday, with feels-like temperatures nearing 110 degrees.
And despite hilarious PR pitches claiming we can all wear “oversized sweaters and puffer jackets” in a matter of weeks, experts with the National Weather Service say any outdoor activity should be limited and include steady hydration. Otherwise, you run the risk of a heat stroke.
Hot, humid, and feeling soupy outside…more of the same today in SE Texas. Heat indices will approach 110 again this afternoon. This is starting to remind us of a certain movie where a meteorologist re-lives the same day again and again, except in the summer… #houwx #txwx pic.twitter.com/KzZ3scErlb

The actual high temperature Sunday is expected to be at least 100 degrees. And as always in Houston, humidity will play a major role in how that feels.
Those on the coast could expect some pop-up showers throughout the weekend.
Rain chances return mid-week.
