Shadow Creek High School football players got their state championship  rings Monday.

The rings feature the Shadow Creek logo on the top, surrounded by the words “State Champions.”

“It’s unbelievable, this is any Texas high school football player’s dream come true, playing in a state championship, winning and collecting that ring,” Shadow Creek coach Brad Butler said. “We are blessed to be here. This past season was truly a dream come true and these kids deserve it.”

Shadow Creek beat Denton Ryan 28-22 in the Class 5A Division I state title game in December. In 2018, the school’s first year of full football participation, the Sharks lost in the state championship game.

Shadow Creek opens this season against back-to-back- Class 6A Division I state champion North Shore on Sept. 25.
